The logfiles of the past 6 months are updated automatically every8 hours. The geolocalisation (transformation of IP-address into coordinates) is performed by the maxmind software package(http://www.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/) .  The maps are drawn using GMT http://gmt.soest.hawaii.edu/ and NASA data on country boundaries.
